When are you insured under the Dutch child benefit scheme if you work in 2 or more countries?
If you are resident or work in the Netherlands, you will normally be insured under the Dutch child benefit scheme automatically. However, if you work in 2 or more countries, different rules may apply.
Find out whether you are insured under the Dutch child benefit scheme
You are employed in 2 or more EU countries
If you are employed in 2 or more EU countries, you will be insured in the country where you live, providing:
- you work at least 25% of your working hours in your country of residence, or
- you work for a company that is based in the country where you live
You work for 2 or more employers in different EU countries
You will be insured in the country where you live. This is also the case if you work in international transport.
