What is an AIO supplement?

The AIO supplement is an income support benefit for people of AOW pension age. If you live in the Netherlands and you have reached your AOW pension age but you are not entitled to a full AOW pension, the AIO supplement can bring your income up to the guaranteed minimum income. 

To qualify for an AIO supplement, the total value of your income and assets must be below a certain level.  

If you have a partner, you and your partner will each receive half of the AIO supplement.
