You are living or working outside the Netherlands and you reach your AOW pension age
If you have been covered by voluntary AOW insurance, your insurance will stop when you reach your AOW pension age. We will then send you an invoice for the contribution for the period from 1 January until the date you reached your pension age.
You have voluntary insurance under the Anw scheme
If you only took out voluntary insurance under the (Anw) scheme, you can continue your Anw insurance after you reach your AOW pension age. Nothing will change, and you will receive an invoice for the whole year as usual.
If you have taken out voluntary AOW and Anw insurance, you will receive an AOW pension when you reach your AOW pension age. Your voluntary AOW insurance will then stop. Your voluntary Anw insurance will continue and you will receive an invoice for the whole year.
