Prevention and Compliance algorithms

The Prevention and Compliance department uses 2 algorithms. Read more about the risk-based checks algorithm and the SWAN algorithm.

Risk-based checks algorithm

We conduct checks to ensure that risks are kept to a minimum. We use algorithms to make risk profiles. A risk profile is a list of risks. If a person meets the risk criteria of a particular profile, they are assigned that risk profile. Anyone assigned a risk profile may be selected for a check by an officer of the Prevention and Compliance department.

We use the risk-based checks algorithm.

SWAN algorithm

We use the SWAN algorithm to predict the likelihood that a person who believes they are living alone is actually considered to be living with another adult. SWAN is a Dutch abbreviation which loosely translates as AOW pensioners who live with another adult.

The SWAN algorithm is undergoing development, but is currently on hold.
