You received a letter with a QR code you can scan to submit your life certificate via the app. On this page, you will find the most frequently asked questions together with the answers. Read them to find out exactly what you need to do, and when you do not need to do anything.

In the ‘Documents Submitted’ window, you can download a submission receipt showing that you have submitted your life certificate successfully. The submission receipt will contain the details, date and time. This is your proof. 

Be sure to download the submission receipt straight away. If you click ‘Continue’ again, you will land on our homepage. Your details will have been sent to us and the app will be empty. You will then no longer be able to use the app for your life certificate.

No, because our offices will not be able to see your life certificate straight away. If the app indicates that the life certificate has been uploaded successfully, that is sufficient. We will check your life certificate, but we will only contact you if we have questions. Your payments will simply continue. The procedure is the same as for a paper life certificate.

If you are unable to scan the QR code, try using a different smartphone. You can use someone else’s smartphone if necessary. Your details will not be saved automatically. If you are still unable to scan the QR code, we will unfortunately not be able to send you a new one. In this case, you should use the paper life certificate form. For instructions, see our letter.
