What is the Wubo benefit?
The Benefit Act for Civilian War Victims 1940-1945 (Wubo) awards financial support to people who:
- underwent violent war experiences as civilians during the Second World War in Europe or Asia, or
- were victims of disturbances or irregularities during the Bersiap period (15 August 1945 to 27 December 1949) in the former Dutch East Indies.
Surviving spouses and minor orphans of civilian war victims may also qualify for financial support.
