If our decision is late

We are obliged by law to deal with your claim within 7 months. If this is not possible, we will notify you, and the processing period will be extended by one period of 8 weeks.

If we have still not issued a decision by the end of the 8-week period, you will be entitled to compensation. In that case, we will contact you.

NB: time that it takes us to obtain information from you or an organization outside the Netherlands does not count towards the 7-month period. This means that our assessment may take longer than 7 months.
