If someone has died
If someone who was receiving payments from us dies, we will stop the payments.
If the person who died lived in the Netherlands, you must inform the municipal authorities of the death. They will then inform us. In all other cases, you must report the death directly to us.
If the deceased was single, the payments will stop with effect from the first day of the month after the month in which he or she died.
If you are the deceased's surviving partner, you will receive a death grant amounting to two month's pension.
As a surviving partner, you can apply for a survivor pension. If payable, a survivor pension will take effect on the day after the day on which your partner passed away.
Reimbursement/allowances for expenses
Reimbursements or allowances for expenses will stop with effect from the first day of the month after the month in which the deceased passed away.
Certain expenses may be continued to be paid temporily to surviving partners.
If you receive an extraordinary pension and your partner dies
If your partner dies, your extraordinary pension will be reassessed. Any reimbursements or allowances you receive will remain unchanged.
