You already receive a benefit or pension
If you receive a Dutch old age pension (AOW pension)
If you start living outside the Netherlands, the amount of your AOW pension could change, as payments of AOW pension to people living in certain countries are restricted under Dutch law.
If you receive an Anw survivor benefit
If you receive an Anw survivor beneft from the SVB and you start living outside the Netherlands, this may affect your entitlement to the benefit. There are a number of countries to which we are not allowed to pay Anw benefits.
If you receive child benefit from the SVB
If you start living in another country but continue to work in the Netherlands, you can usually keep your Dutch child benefit. If you start working outside the Netherlands, however, your Dutch child benefit will normally stop.
If you receive an AIO supplement
If you receive an AIO supplement, it will stop if you start living outside the Netherlands. If you start working outside the Netherlands but continue to live in the Netherlands, you can keep the AIO supplement. In that case, your income from work will be deducted from your AIO supplement.
If you start living in Belgium or Germany
If you start living in Belgium or Germany, this may affect your health insurance, child benefit, old-age pension or another benefit. You can obtain more information about this from the Bureau for Belgian Affairs or the Bureau for German Affairs.
