  1. See the qualifying conditions for a remigration benefit

    First, find out whether you qualify for a remigration benefit.

  2. Fill in the form

    If you meet the necessary conditions, you can apply for a remigration benefit. 

    Download the form. You can fill in the form on your computer using Acrobat Reader. 

  3. Enclose the necessary documentary evidence

    We will ask you to send certain documents with your claim form. We always ask for copies of your passport and the passports of the persons who are leaving with you. Depending on your situation, we may also ask you to provide other documents.

  4. Sending in your claim form

Apply for a DigiD before you leave

You should apply for a DigiD before you leave the Netherlands, as this may not be possible after you have left. Your DigiD will allow you to handle your affairs with the SVB quickly and easily online via My SVB. For example, you can report changes online, or upload documents instead of having to send them by post. If you want to log in to My SVB, go to ‘Login’ and choose how you wish to log in.

Receiving SVB letters electronically

Open a Message Box at the MijnOverheid website. The Message Box is your online personal letterbox, where you can receive and save electronic letters from us and other Dutch government institutions. If you have a DigiD, you can open a Message Box at mijn.overheid.nl.

If you need help filling in the claim form, you can contact the Netherlands Migration Institute (NMI). They will help you free of charge.
