How to log in to My SVB

In My SVB, you can view your details, report changes or submit a claim. There are different ways to log in, for example, by using your DigiD. When you log in to My SVB with your DigiD, the SVB system can identify you.

What are the different ways to log in?

You can log in to My SVB with:

  • the DigiD app
  • DigiD with SMS verification
  • DigiD Machtigen (DigiD Authorisation)
  • valid EU Login
You can choose how you want to log in.

What is the DigiD app?

You can log in using an app on your telephone, tablet or computer. You log in using a pincode.

What is DigiD with SMS verification?

You will receive an SMS message containing a code on your telephone. Log in with your username and password and enter the code you received.

What is DigiD Authorisation?

If you want someone else to manage your affairs with the Dutch authorities on you behalf, you can do this via DigiD Authorisation. 

What is a valid EU Login?

You can log in to My SVB from another European country with a valid EU Login.

This is only possible if you have a Dutch burgerservicenummer (BSN).

Before you can log in, you will need a DigiD.

How to log in to My SVB

  • At the top of the screen, you will see ‘Log in’
  • Click on this and then select ‘Log in met DigiD’ (Log in using your DigiD)
  • Choose how you want to log in
    For example, with the DigiD app or with your username, password and SMS verification

How to apply for a DigiD

If you live in the Netherlands, you can apply for a DigiD via the DigiD website.


If you live outside the Netherlands, how you apply for a DigiD will depend on whether or not you receive (or will soon start receiving) an AOW old age pension.
