When does your Anw benefit stop?

Choose the option that best describes your situation

When you reach your AOW pension age, your Anw benefit will stop. If you meet the conditions, you may start to receive an AOW pension instead.

Your Anw benefit will stop if you get married or start living with a partner or registered partner.

If your child under 18 leaves home, your Anw benefit will stop, also if your child starts living with another family.

Your Anw benefit will stop if your youngest child turns 18.

If you are less than 45% incapacitated for work, your Anw benefit will stop.

Your Anw benefit will stop if you have been in prison, a detention centre or a closed treatment facility for a month. If you are released, your Anw benefit will be paid again if you send us your release certificate.

If you received a widow’s pension under the National Widows’ and Orphans’ Pensions Act (AWW) which was replaced by an Anw benefit on 1 July 1996, different rules apply for you. Contact us if you have any questions.
