AIO supplement
When can you get an AIO supplement?
Everyone has a right to a minimum income. Every year, the government establishes the amount of the minimum income. If your income is below the set amount, and you are 65 or older, you can claim an AIO supplement. You can get this supplement if:
- you live in the Netherlands, and
- your income is below the set minimum income, and
- you do not have more than a certain amount of capital
What do we mean by capital?
Capital includes savings, shares, jewellery, and antiques, for example. If you have debts, you can deduct them from the value of your capital. If you own a house, different rules apply. Contact us for further information if you own a house.
