AIO supplement - If your income increases or drops

If your income changes, the amount of your AIO supplement will also change. More income means less AIO supplement. If your income drops, your AIO supplement will increase. You must therefore inform us within 4 weeks if there is a change in your income.

If the amount of your AOW pension changes, for example, because you get divorced or start living with someone, the amount of your AIO supplement will also change.

How will a change in your income affect your AIO supplement?

To find out how a change in your income will affect your AIO supplement, first add up your income from all sources: your AOW pension, KOB top-up and all your other income.

Also add up your partner's income, for example wages, a benefit or a company pension. Then deduct the total amount of your and your partner's income from the minimum income you are entitled to. The remaining amunt is the amount of AIO supplement you will get.

The minimum income you are entitled to is shown in the table below. This is the net amount per month (without holiday allowance).
