Wubo
Who is eligible for a Wubo benefit?
You may qualify for a Wubo benefit if you have been affected by violent acts of war. For example, if you:
- experienced bombardments or shootings
- were interned in a guarded camp
- carried out forced labour
- witnessed maltreatment at a young age
- have been wounded by exploding munitions or other arms from the Second World War, even if this happened recently.
Other violent acts of war may also apply.
You can qualify for a Wubo benefit if you were a victim of disturbances or irregularities during the Bersiap period, for example, if you:
- experienced shootings and riots
- were evacuated under life-threatening circumstances, or
- were detained in a Republican camp.
