Voluntary insurance - You are going to live or work in the Netherlands again

As a rule, if you come back to live or work in the Netherlands, you will automatically be covered under the AOW old age pension scheme and the Anw survivor benefits scheme again. You will then not need voluntary insurance any more. You should therefore let us know as soon as possible on what date you started living or working in the Netherlands again.

We will make a final contribution assessment

We will send you a new invoice for the final contribution from 1 January until the date on which you automatically became covered under Dutch national insurance again. For this, we will need details of your income. You will be insured in the Netherlands again as from the date that you register with your municipal authorities (gemeente). It is therefore important to register without delay.
