Voluntary insurance
You want to discontinue your voluntary insurance
If you no longer wish to be covered under voluntary insurance you should let us know as soon as possible, preferably in writing. The voluntary insurance will then stop on the date on which we receive your message to that effect. It will not be possible to stop the insurance sooner. After that date, you will have 6 weeks in which to change your mind if you so wish. After the 6 weeks, you can no longer reverse your decision and take out voluntary insurance again.A reduced AOW pension, and no Anw benefit
If you stop your voluntary insurance before your AOW pension takes effect, you will get a reduced pension on reaching the age of 65. If you stop your voluntary Anw insurance, that will have consequences for your partner and children. If you should pass away, your partner will not be entitled to an Anw survivor benefit or dependent child allowance, and if your children are orphaned, they will not be entitled to an orphan's benefit.
