Voluntary insurance
Is your family insured as well?
If you take out voluntary insurance, this will only count towards your own AOW pension. You can take out separate voluntary insurance for your partner or children.
If you want to ensure that your partner will get a survivor benefit if you die, you can take out voluntary Anw insurance. If your children become orphans as a result of your death, they will get an orphan's benefit.
Voluntary insurance for your partner and children
If your partner takes out voluntary insurance, he or she will build up rights to an AOW pension of his or her own. In addition, you may be entitled to a survivor benefit or dependent child allowance in the event of your partner's death.
You can also take out voluntary insurance for your children.
