TOG

Other schemes for disabled children

Personal Budget (PGB)

If you spend a lot of time caring for a disabled child over a long period, you may be able to get a personal budget (PGB). A PGB is a sum of money that you can use to purchase support. If you have been awarded a PGB, our PGB Service Centre can help you with the administrative aspects of your budget.

Dutch child benefit

The TOG is an allowance to help cover the costs of looking after a sick or disabled child living at home. If your child cannot live at home with you because of his or her illness or disability, you will not be able to get a TOG care allowance. In that case, you will normally get child benefit at twice the basic rate for your child, depending on how much you contribute to the child’s support.
