Remigration - Departure

If you have submitted a claim for a remigration grant or remigration benefit, we will send you a letter and a departure card. On the card, you must fill in the date on which you will be leaving the Netherlands. To get a remigration benefit, you must move to your new country of residence within 6 months. You will receive the contribution towards your travelling and transport costs, which is part of the remigration grant, when we have received your departure card.

Let us know if you leave earlier or later

If you decide to depart earlier or later than the date stated on the departure card, you should tell us. We will make sure that you receive the money in time.

If you have not moved to your new country within 6 months and you have not told us about the delay, we will stop your benefits. You will then be required to repay the money you already received.

If you have not received a departure card

If you have not received a departure card from us, or if you have lost the card, please get in touch with our office in Leiden. We will then send you a new card.
