Remigration - When will you receive your payments?

We will pay the contribution towards your travelling and transport costs, which is part of the remigration grant, before your departure, provided we have received your departure card 5 weeks before your departure. We will pay the money into your Dutch bank account. It cannot be paid by cheque.

The contribution towards building a new life in your new country of residence will be paid to you after you have left the Netherlands. We will pay that money into your bank account in your new country.

The contribution towards the transport of business inventory and equipment, or aids for a disabled person, will be paid by us directly to the company handling the transport.

You must deregister from your Dutch municipality

In order to get a remigration benefit and an allowance towards health insurance, you and the family members who are moving with you must deregister from your Dutch municipality (gemeente). We will start paying your remigration benefit and health insurance allowance after we have received confirmation from your municipality that you have deregistered. We will pay the money into your account in your new country of residence.
