Child benefit - Your child is going to be 6 or 12

Your child benefit will increase when your child turns 6. It will increase again when your child turns 12. The conditions for receiving child benefit do not change. You will receive a letter from us stating the new amount. 

When will the higher amount of child benefit be paid?

The higher amount is paid depending on the situation on the first day of the quarter. For example, if your child's birthday is on 10 April, you will get the higher amount as from the 3rd quarter.
