Child benefit - When your child turns 18

When you child turns 18, your child benefit will stop. You will receive child benefit up to the end of the quarter in which your child turns 18. We will send you a letter about this in advance.

If you child is studying, he or she will probably get a student grant. You will find more information about this on the DUO website (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs).
