Child benefit
Child budget if your child lives with you and your ex-partner in turn.
If your child lives with you and your ex-partner in turn, we refer to this as co-parenting. The SVB can divide child benefit between two parents, but the Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) can only pay child budget to 1 person.
You and your ex-partner can decide how the child benefit is to be divided. You can also decide together who is to receive the child budget, keeping in mind that the person with the lower income will usually get a higher child budget.
