More service with DigiD
More and more contact with government agencies (including the SVB) can take place via the internet. For example, while online, you can claim AOW old age pension or child benefit, report a change, or view your details. Very often, this will involve confidential information. To protect your privacy, we want to make sure that you are who you say you are. In other words, we want to be able to verify your identity so that other people cannot try to pass themselves off as you. For this, you need a DigiD code.
About DigiD
DigiD (pronounced as 'digidee') stands for Digital Identity; it is a system shared by government agencies that they can use to verify your identity. A DigiD code will enable you to access the online services of an increasing number of government agencies.
If you live outside the Netherlands, it is currently not possible for you to request a DigiD code.
You do not want a DigiD code, or you cannot yet request a DigiD code
