BBZ - Your family's insurance

If your family members live in the Netherlands and are aged 18 or over, they will be insured for AOW old age pension and Anw survivor benefit. If your family members do not have any income of their own, they will be covered under Belgian health insurance.

If your family members have income of their own, they will be insured in the country from which they receive income.

Medical care for your family members without an income of their own.

Your partner and children up to age 17 can be covered under Belgian health insurance if they do not have income of their own. For this, you must register them with the health insurer CZ Zorgverzekeringen using form E106, which you can obtain from your health insurance fund. You then submit the E106 to CZ. CZ will then determine which family members can be co-insured with you, and they will inform your health insurance fund.
