Age-related child benefit allowances
In addition to the basic child benefit amount, you will get an age-related allowance for children for whom you receive child benefit. The amount of the allowance depends on the child's age. If child benefit for your first child has stopped, e.g. because he or she has turned 18, your second child will count as the first, and so on.

These amounts also apply for an only child in a one-parent family.
