AOW pension
If you are in a relationship but do not live with your partner
If you are in a relationship but are not married and do not live with your partner, you will both be entitled to an AOW pension at the rate for a single person, as long as you each:
- have your own home, and
- spend most of the time separately in your own home, and
- keep the household costs separate, and
- only look after yourself, not each other.
In that case, your AOW pensions will be based on 70% of the net minimum wage.
See the page entitled 'What we mean by living with a partner' for our definition of living with a partner.
