Moving house within the Netherlands

If you move to a new address within the Netherlands, you do not need to report this to us. Once you have reported your move to your local authority ('gemeente'), they will inform us of your new address.

New address outside the Netherlands

If you live outside the Netherlands and move to a new address in the same country, you must let us know your new address.

If you move to another country, this may affect your AOW pension. Restrictions apply to the payment of AOW pensions to certain countries.

You are going to live outside the Netherlands

If you move from the Netherlands to another country, you must inform us of your new address.

The amount of your AOW could change, as restrictions apply to AOW pensions payments to certain countries. Below, enter the name of the country you are moving to. You will then see whether your AOW pension will change.

What else will change?

• In some countries, you have to pay tax on your AOW pension. In that case, we will not withhold tax in the Netherlands. 
• You will be charged a different health insurance contribution. If you receive a health care allowance, this could also change.
• You will no longer be automatically insured under the Dutch National Survivor Benefits Act (Anw).
