AOW pension
Your partner receives a pension or benefit
If your partner is under 65, you may qualify for a supplementary allowance on top of your AOW pension. If your partner has an early retirement pension or a benefit, that income will be deducted in full from the supplementary allowance. In addition, your own income will also be taken into account. If your joint income is over € 2,530.98 per month, the supplementary allowance will be reduced by a maximum of 10%.
Income which is deducted from the supplementary allowance
- An early retirement pension or benefit received by your partner will be deducted in full from your supplementary allowance.
- If your partner receives more than € 718.47 gross a month in pensions or benefits, no supplementary allowance will be payable.
Remember to report changes
Let us know if the amount of your partner's pension or benefit changes. We will then make sure that you receive the correct amount in supplementary allowance.
You must report a change in your income if:
- your joint income is or becomes less than € 2,675 gross per month, or
- your joint income rises above € 2,675 gross per month after having been lower than that amount.
