AOW pension - No AOW supplementary allowance as from 2015

If you are married to or living with a partner under 65, you may be able to get a supplementary allowance on top of your AOW pension. However, in 2015, this supplementary allowance will be discontinued.

The consequences of discontinuation of the supplementary allowance in 2015

• If you turn 65 on or after 1 January 2015, you will not get a supplementary allowance for a younger partner.
• If you turn 65 before 1 January 2015, you will be entitled to a supplementary allowance until your partner is 65, even if that happens after 1 January 2015. The supplementary allowance will only be paid if your younger parter has little or no income.
