AOW pension - You have been detained or imprisoned

You have been detained or imprisoned

If you are detained or imprisoned, you can no longer receive an AOW pension. Your AOW pension will end after you have been detained/imprisoned for one month.

If you have been released from detention or imprisonment, you can start receiving an AOW pension again. You must send us your certificate of release.

Exceptions

If you have been sentenced to a community service order, or have been receiving compulsory psychiatric treatment, you can continue to receive your AOW pension as usual.
