Anw survivor benefit
Checking payments to other countries
If you receive your Anw benefit outside the Netherlands, the SVB will contact you a couple of times a year to check whether there have been any changes in your situation.
- Life certificate: Unless you live in certain countries (named below), we will automatically send you a life certicate form once a year, which you must have completed by, for example, a notary public or municipal authority in the country where you live.
In 2010, a different system was introduced for SVB clients in Australia, Belgium and Germany. People who live in these countries do not have to send in a life certificate every year. - Income: We will ask you for information on your income every year.
- Living with someone: We may visit you at home to check whether you are living on your own or with another adult, or whether you receive income in addition to your Anw benefit.
